Welcome to the esteemed Hillside Primary School, an integral pillar of the educational landscape in the vibrant community of Laudium.Hillside Primary School is a bustling hub of intellectual growth and development for 1220+ number of learners.
Our 36 teachers and 12 support staff nurture young minds at Hillside Primary under the Tshwane South Education District. Our school is committed to fostering an environment conducive to learning, growth, and advancement for all our students.

Our History
Hillside Primary School proudly opened its doors for the first time in January 1987, with Mr. R.A. Ismail as the acting principal. The school started with a dedicated staff of 10 educators, 2 Heads of Department, and an initial enrolment of 308 learners. Initially known as Laudium Primary No. 5, the school was officially named Hillside Primary School during its opening ceremony on May 20, 1985, led by Chief Executive Director Mr. A.K. Singh.

Today, Hillside Primary School has grown significantly. Our team consists of 39 educators and 12 support staff, catering to a diverse enrolment of 1194 learners. Notably, 90% of our learners’ commute from outside Laudium, making our school a vibrant hub of learning and community.
